Seventeen days to go: BNSD will exhibit at the 20th Southwest Agricultural Inputs Expo (SAF 2023) and the 15th Southwest Seed Expo, to be held August 25-26, 2023 at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Rooted in the Southwest market of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan and reaching into Hunan, Guangxi and Guangdong, SAF is also China's industry gateway to the South and Southeast Asian markets. With its precise positioning, strong marketing system and quality buyer resources, it has become a strategic platform for leading companies to launch new products and technologies.

Organizers expect 1,500 exhibitors from home and abroad and 80,000 buyer visits from across China and Southeast Asia.

The previous, 19th edition — postponed to March 30 by the pandemic — was the industry's first event at the Dianchi venue, attracting more than 1,200 exhibitors across over 50,000 square meters in five indoor halls plus outdoor space. It drew 56,572 trade visits from Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing and Guangxi, with participants from 21 provinces and a satisfaction rate of 90%.

The 20th edition will cover more than 60,000 square meters with over 1,500 exhibitors. Building on Yunnan's role in the Belt and Road Initiative, the opening of the China-Laos Railway and direct high-speed rail links to Kunming, organizers are inviting international buyers from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos.

More than 80% of professional visitors are buyers, channel dealers and planting cooperatives from Southwest China.

Exhibit categories span fertilizers, specialty fertilizers, biological products, pesticides, plant growth regulators, soil conditioners, seeds and seedlings, plant protection equipment, water-saving irrigation, modern agricultural facilities, garden tools, testing instruments, and fertilizer and pesticide production and packaging machinery.

Co-located events include the 2023 Yunnan Dianchi High-Quality Agricultural Development Forum, the 15th Southwest Seed Expo, the 13th China Smart Agriculture, Facility Agriculture and Water-Saving Irrigation Exhibition, and the 2023 Southwest Fruit Tree and Nursery Stock Exhibition.

Expected visitors include plant protection, soil and fertilizer, agricultural extension and supply-marketing system stations across Southwest China; regional distributors, dealers and retailers; horticulture, fruit, vegetable and medicinal herb growers; and South and Southeast Asian agri-input traders and representative offices in Kunming.
