BNSD Night | The second Advanced Bioassay Managers Exchange Meeting for the agri-input industry, organized by the Shandong Agricultural Inputs Association with strong support from Shandong BNSD Biotechnology Co., Ltd., will open September 21-23 at the Beilong Garden Hotel in Qingzhou, Shandong.

The meeting skips abstract theory and focuses on turning rigorous bioassay technology into a formidable marketing weapon — addressing the industry's real pain points: severe product homogenization, sales teams unable to articulate product advantages, demonstration plots that become empty rituals, and heavy trial budgets that yield little beyond registration reports.

Confirmed speakers include Yin Yue, PhD, of the Efficacy Evaluation Division at the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (ICAMA); Hou Changqing, Executive Secretary-General of the Shandong Agricultural Inputs Association; Chen Jie, Director of the Zhejiang Green Pesticide Collaborative Innovation Center at Zhejiang A&F University; Dong Liyao, professor and PhD supervisor at Nanjing Agricultural University; Wang Fang, senior engineer at the Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry; Duan Yabing, professor at Nanjing Agricultural University; Qu Mingjing, biocontrol scientist of the National Peanut Industry Technology System; and Wang Xiaoqiao, associate researcher and deputy director of the Plant Protection Research Center at the Tobacco Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Sessions cover five themes. Industry policy and outlook: compliance points of the "one certificate, one standard" and technical-source traceability policies, a five-year outlook for China's pesticide market, and how bioassay links R&D, registration and promotion to uncover differentiated product performance.

Bioassay technology: herbicide resistance, plant growth regulator bioassays, key fungicide bioassay techniques and quality control, and building bioassay evaluation systems for biostimulants. Crop solutions: peanut field pest, disease and weed control; areca field trials that lifted a single product's sales; solanaceous crop disease management; ginger-based integrated crop solution design and promotion; and disease control for Chinese medicinal herbs.

Marketing empowerment: methodology for building blockbuster agri-input products, differentiated strategies such as Canadian Ascophyllum seaweed extract boosting fungicide performance, scenario-based product development, technical marketing for cash crops, and shooting sales-worthy photos and videos with a smartphone.

Application technology: integrated soil-borne disease control, formulation improvements to efficacy and nematode management, adjuvant bioassays, innovative agrochemical product design, and new fertilizer-pesticide combination technology.

Do not let a good product lose because it cannot tell its story well. This is a technical gathering built for marketing people, and a marketing summit that empowers technical people — a new journey of winning the market through technology.
