On November 20 in Hefei, Anhui, BNSD-Bangnongda joined hands with Nongxin Media to hold the 2024 Pesticide and Agri-input New Media Marketing Training Camp and the BNSD-Bangnongda-Nongxin Media-Channel Partner New Marketing Festival, under the theme "Beyond Trends, Winning the Future."
Reviewing the past two years — a period most pesticide companies found exceptionally difficult — Liu Ke, Chairman of BNSD-Bangnongda Crop Science Co., Ltd., said the company has pursued all-round upgrading under its philosophy of "revitalizing the nation by serving agriculture, and reaching the world through dedication." By optimizing production lines and raising technical standards, the company achieved steady sales growth in both 2023 and 2024, with overall sales up 50% in 2024 and successive breakthroughs in capacity and output. BNSD ranked 51st in the national pesticide industry's top-100 formulation sales in both 2023 and 2024.
Guided by technological innovation, the company has built three brands and four production bases. In November 2023 the Bangnongda brand was launched, focusing on nano pesticide research and promotion in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Nankai University to establish a provincial enterprise technology center for nano pesticide potentiation. Nano products already on the market have been well received and are set to become a major growth driver.
Sales of the company's thiamethoxam flagship series have surpassed RMB 100 million, while long-standing star products such as Ruika, Baiduobang and Bigaoke, together with the new plant nutrition product Jinxiaoman, continue to show strong market competitiveness and have earned wide customer recognition.
On the increasingly competitive market and the upcoming "one product, one certificate" policy, Liu Ke said the company had planned ahead, optimizing production processes and improving its quality control system to keep product quality at the source. It currently holds 45 registration certificates covering its main product lines, with 39 more under registration expected to be approved in 2025.
Channel partners also spoke highly of the cooperation. Li Xueran of Dongying Huiheli Agricultural Supplies in Shandong, a partner of about 15 years, first came to BNSD through its 2.5% lambda-cyhalothrin ("Kung Fu") product and later added fungicides such as difenoconazole-propiconazole, prothioconazole-tebuconazole, pyraclostrobin and tebuconazole, all well received by farmers, with strong technical service support throughout.
Xie Liangsi of Sichuan Languang Biotechnology, a partner for seven to eight years, reported that every product sold has performed strongly in the market — its chlorantraniliprole-thiamethoxam product moved about 20 tonnes within half a month. Liu Lei of Harbin Zhongzhihua Bioengineering in Heilongjiang, who trialed BNSD products eight to nine years ago and was satisfied with their quality, plans to start selling them next year.
